Disturbing reports have emerged from Lovu, where a man allegedly remained in a house with his mother’s body for approximately two months without reporting her death to authorities or informing other family members.
According to reports, neighbours and people passing by the area eventually raised concerns after noticing a strong smell believed to be coming from the house.
Police were called to the property and reportedly removed the woman’s body. The man allegedly remained at the house after telling police that he was suffering from a headache. After the body had been taken away, he reportedly got up and began cleaning the house.
When family members later arrived and asked for the deceased woman’s identity documents so that funeral arrangements could be made, the man allegedly refused to hand them over.
He reportedly claimed that his mother had told him that she did not want to be buried and that the family should leave her alone because she did not need a funeral.
The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, as well as why it allegedly took around two months for her death to be reported, remain unclear.
Police are reportedly investigating the matter, and further details may emerge as the investigation continues.
